Iv been contacted recently by people saying that they cant create an account on this forum and unfortunately at the moment it does look like the registrations are closed. I suspect (although iv not asked so Im not 100% sure) that its to do with spam which is most unfortunate.

So we have built a forum specifically for JDast (& any other software i might release). I shall be keeping a close eye out for spammers both using anti spam/bot measures and personally, we shall see how we go.

So iv started sending of communications to the AV companies that show a false positive for jdast.

Iv sent of to AVG & Symantec so far, i have managed to send in a whitelist form to Symantec just waiting on there response but AVG just keep sending back emails that tell me to set my AVG settings to allow my program ,lol they dont quite get what im asking but im persistent.

I'll keep this updated.

Google has shut down my Jdast email account , ahh so I have removed the questionnaire from the first installation that asks “Where did you first hear of this software”. Basically I had over 1000 downloads yesterday and google didn’t like it.

I suppose it was a mistake to rely on Gmail for this part of Jdast but I was never expecting so may people to be interested when I coded the feedback section, i could have used ftp instead but its really not necessary i can see people downloading jdast and where they are coming in from on statcounter & google analytics and now that its a much larger number of people downloading than i ever expected i think thats better.

The "Request hep / report a bug" option does still use the same jdast gmail account but that will still be working in a couple of hours.

I hope Jimmys servers are up to a little work as iv submitted JDast to MajorGeeks & Snapfiles.
