Iv been contacted recently by people saying that they cant create an account on this forum and unfortunately at the moment it does look like the registrations are closed. I suspect (although iv not asked so Im not 100% sure) that its to do with spam which is most unfortunate.
So we have built a forum specifically for JDast (& any other software i might release). I shall be keeping a close eye out for spammers both using anti spam/bot measures and personally, we shall see how we go.

Registration is only closed to people trying to sign up using the forums standard registration page - as you've said, this is because of spam.
However users can still sign up/login using Facebook, Twitter and OpenID accounts (via the icons in the black bar at the top, or the Login Page).

Hi Ash,
Hope your well,
Yea it was basically in response to someone who contacted me by mail who mentioned that they had tried to make an account (the standard way) which got me wondering how much was involved in making a forum. So probably more than expecting any actual posts / registrations it was a chance to have a look at building forums and learning something
I must admit that i didn't think about the other methods of login but then again nor did the chap who emailed me.
Anyhow i dont think were missing much , hardly see much traffic on foums to do with jdast, for some reason everyone likes to use our ticket system :-/
Cheers.
