yea although every time i check to see if its down its back up again ! but i must admit that the site is quite often very slow at being resolved.

Im afraid that we shall have to wait to see what Ash says , there's nothing i can do.

Thx for your time,

Just wondering , what times of day are you experiencing the down time on average ?

i appreciate it through the night but what sort of times ?

Thx for your time,

Hey guys, this is basically what's happening...

For the second time this week the servers' firewall has decided to block all traffic to the server causing the site to go offline (as well as the other sites on this server). I am aware of the problem and am looking into it, I have also got my provider looking into the issue.

Until i've had a proper look into it i'm not 100% sure yet as to why the firewall is doing this, my guess at this moment in time is due to a recent update the server may have installed.

I may be taking the server offline later on to try and resolve the issue, if this is the case I wall post an announcement before hand, however i'm hoping I won't have to do this.

Its a Linux box (well VPS), as it's cheaper and my provider didn't offer windows boxes at the time lol

Interesting, will keep them in mind incase I ever have to move provider in the future :P

Just a small update, my provider have informed me that they have reinstalled the Firewall on the server which *should* fix the problem. Here's hoping it does *fingers crossed*.

Hehe it's not just this site on the server, and to be honest, i'm very happy with what i'm getting for my money at the moment :P That's not to say I won't bare you in mind in the future :D

My provider at the moment is Future Hosting, i've been with them for about 2 years now and have never really had a problem with them aka they've always been there and helped my whenever there's been a problem. Add to that the server has been pretty much trouble free until the other day.

And as I said above, i'm happy with the amount I get for the money lol.
