About Broadband Helper

ADSL Helper (as the site was known previously), was launched in July 2008 by Ashley Proctor, is a broadband community website that actively focuses on all aspects of broadband/internet connectivity in the UK.

In May 2010, ADSL Helper became part of the Lost Pocket Network of websites.

At the end of August of 2010, ADSL Helper was rebranded/renamed to Broadband Helper. The change was made for several reasons:

  • Most people refer to their internet connection as a broadband connection instead of an ADSL connection, some people don't even know what ADSL is.
  • Broadband is easier to understand and will hopefully help us on search engines
  • We don't solely focus on ADSL, we have sections for Cable and Mobile Broadband.

Broadband Helper Versions

The site has gone through a number of major changes since launch to keep up with current web standards and user trends. Below is a list of details about the most recent updates:

  • Upgrade of the software powering the site to the latest version
  • A brand new Software section of the website

The Broadband Helper Team

As with most online communities, for a site/community to function you need a team of trustworthy community members to help keep the site organised and operational. Here, we have called that team quite simply the 'Broadband Helper Team', which is currently made up of:

  • Ashley - Site Administrator.
  • Anthony - Part-Time Site Administrator.
  • SpencerUK - Global Moderator and Article Writer.
  • JackDinn - Global Moderator and In-House Software Developer.

Without this team, Broadband Helper wouldn't have got to the point it is at today, so a massive thanks to them!
